Monsoon undoubtedly is the most exciting season of the year and we welcome it with open arms.  Monsoon is the time when we enjoy the beautiful climate and feast on delicacies. The arrival of monsoon is indeed a sigh of relief from the scorching heat but it is essential to take care of the skin to protect it from the atmospheric humidity and sudden climatic change. Hence, along with enjoying to the fullest it is necessary to be careful on how to safeguard the body and skin during monsoon.

Hence, below are the following tips which one should undertake in order to look fresh and maintain a glowing skin and thereby get free from the hassles of bad skin during the Monsoon season.

  • Avoid fungal infections

Fungal infections are one of the most common problems which take place during the rainy season. Never keep your skin wet for a long time. Make it a point to bath with lukewarm water and use antifungal creams and talc which are effective ways to fight fungal infections. Some of these peculiar fungal infections include itching of the skin and ringworm.

  • Cleanse the skin

The skin should be cleaned around 3-4 times a day with non-soapy face washes as this would play an important role in cleaning excessive oil and dirt and helps keep the skin rejuvenated.

  • Keep Dry Skin Moisturised

If you have a dry skin type, then make sure to moisturise it with a good moisturiser. Application of Rosewater, Glycerine or Almond by a night’s sleep could play a pivotal role in keeping the skin healthy and glowing.

  • Keep Oily Skin Clean

Apply skin cleansers, effective face packs and drink loads of water in order to combat the problems of oily skin such as acne, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.

  • Gentle exfoliation

Use a good skin scrub to get rid of those dead cells and make your skin radiant and glowing and thereby remove dead skin cells.

  • Avoid artificial jewellery

For those who have very sensitive skin, it is best to avoid wearing heavy jewellery altogether. The humidity can make your skin break out when it comes into contact with anything irritable. So avoid jewellery around your neck and wrists and allow your skin to breathe.

  •  Wash hair often

Wash hair a little more frequently that you usually do in the monsoon as all the humidity and sweat causes it to get dirty soon and attract dust and pollution.

To sum it up, enjoy the monsoon to the fullest but take care of your skin by implementing these ideas. Papulex India wishes everyone a very Happy Monsoon.
